two floor apartment with windows front and back this one fan on the ground floor helps the air move thorugh the whole place. yes high is a bit louder but boy can it move the air. Vornado lasts and lasts so I am very happy with this fan.

Unobtrusively small, but powerful flow. The spiral design make oscillation un-necessary.
Very low noise at the lower speeds. Will buy several more for other rooms. Good inexpensive alternative to a ceiling fan.

My humidified water kept shutting off, I thought it was the valve, I tried this first and it fixed the problem. There is a small filter included with this kit, the old one although did not look clogged apparently was. Product just as described.

just perfect!
It is very hard to find this type of water filter and very expensive on other online stores(they also are sold online only), I am very happy with the purchase,the haierRF-2800 is the only compatible water filter for my refrigerator; Amazon has the best price and the shipping free!

It works but too expensive
This filter works...... but I have to change it every 2-3 months when my refrigerator's warning light comes on. And I am the only user at home. I cannot imagine the cost to replace this filter per year for a household of 3-4. The price needs to come down a bit. I cannot afford this filter so I have to install under-sink filtration system with filter that last 12 months; and still pay far less to replace.

Clover B9A Hot and Cold Countertop Water Dispenser

Good quality
So far I'm very happy with this water dispenser. The price was a little more than some of the other coolers out there, but I'm glad I got it and I believe that it was well worth the extra money. I bought it for use in our small office at work. It's sitting on a counter which works very well. Customers have access and there are 7 employees that also use it regularly. I've had a couple of other models before this one (the last one was Haier) and they worked fine for a few months and then either the hot or cold would stop working. I'm really hoping this one will last much longer. To offer a true review, I would need to wait for about a year! :) Anyway, one thing I definitely like over the other dispensers is how fast the water comes out. It fills my water bottle really quickly. The Haier took forever! It's also much easier to get my water bottle under the spout than the Haier. The Haier also dripped after filling my cup. This cooler doesn't drip at all. So much better than...

Cold is COLD!!!
Arrived quickly was going to order it through Amazon but it was cheaper through the vendor listed - cannot be sure how I ended up there, but there I was. Anyway, the color is not that dark - it's off white and it is nice. It looks good and blends in on my counter. Now the good part - this is the coldest water dispenser I ever used! The water is freezing. And the unit is super quiet. There is a screw at the you can turn to adjust the temperature. There is a hot water switch to turn on the hot water. There is a safety switch on the dispenser for dispensing where you have to press and double press, I don't know, it took me a half a second to figure out and I like that. You can turn it off the switch for hot water off for extra safety! I am using Primo water I get at Walmart at the front, but I believe it is available all over the place. It arrived quickly and although the box was not taped, it had bands around it so it would not open. It was more than I wanted to spend, but if the family...

bought this on a risk after reading about how flimsy other tabletop dispensers were, turns out it works great! holds enough hot and cold water for a family of 10+, temperatures are both great and flows quite nicely. a little big and the design is a little plain, but it's sturdy and well built (hot water drain is located under the machine)

Great outdoor fan!
I live on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific that is 20 x's more corrosive than Hawaii due to the salt. After several months of having this fan on my back porch (running 23/7) it has not shown any signs of rusting or slowing down. Great fan at a great price.

Poor Functionality
Though it looks good, the drawers that are represented to pull out, hardly pull out at all. Functionality is poor. I contacted the seller and he said. "We represent that the drawers pull out, but we didn't say how far". Buyer beware!!!! I built cabinetry to fit this and now I'm stuck with it. This is the risk of buying something on the internet. The LED lighting is way too bright as well.

Box arrived and seemed perfect once really looking at the unit it was out of square. I had to remove the door and redrill the holes so air wouldn't leak. Now it works fine but the thermostat won't drop below 47 though its set at 44.

Attractive Unit
I like the design, interior lighting, capacity, and easy controls. It does make a little noise, but I find it acceptable. Will see how it holds up over time.

Great quality & easy assembly for the $
We've purchased a few ceiling fans from Hunter over the years, and this was by far the easiest to install. The new ceiling mount is great (feels sturdier than any other), and the overall level of quality was great for the price. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Been waiting for this model
Needed a white five-blade 52" fan with a light that would be truly flush mount for a bedroom turned into an office. Until a couple of months ago, Hunter did not have one. When this model appeared I bought i tright away. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheap Hapton Bay fans. They are loud, prone to rubbing noises, and break in a few years. Hunter is the best.
Pros:
- Exceptionally quiet
- Great design for mounting to ceiling electrical box
- color is fine - Blades are white (just not as white as the motor cover)
- Straightforward instructions if not for the missing screws (see below) it would have been installed in 30 mins start to finish.
- iIcludes a CFL 14/60 watt bulb

Cons:
- Was missing two of the screws needed to attach motor cover. Had to dig around in my pile of leftovers from other projects to find some that would fit
- The glass bulb is large, so overall the unit hangs down lower that I expected...

The color is not as shown
The ad says white, the box says white but the entire fan is ivory!
We have several other Hunter fans in white and this one is definitely darker.
I hope Hunter still makes a truly white fan.

Dyson Dc-25 Long Life Washable Reusable Pre-filter, Replaces Dyson 914790-01

Pure Dyson
After 4 years of regular use of my Dyson D25 I finally decided to but a new filter. Shopped Amazon and found a great deal for the replacement filter. What else can I say except that the new filter fits perfectly and does the job just like the original one. My Dyson D25 does a great job in my town house. Never ceases to amaze me how much dirt, etc. the Dyson picks up and removes from my carpet. Best machine I have ever cleaned my carpets with.

Briefly:

1. My Amazon queries for "Dyson DC-25 pre-filter" were giving me a mix of suspicious filters. Some were the HEPA post-filters. Others looked like DC-24 or other different model filters. It turns out that despite the picture in the listing, this IS in fact the DC-25 filter that goes on the top of the dustbin just under the cyclone thingies.

2. I'd like to suggest that the seller update their product picture, because I'm pretty sure that this incorrect picture is probably scaring would-be buyers away!

Shark Sonic Steam Mop - Model SM200

leaves dirt on floors, pumping for steam tiresome
It's going back to the store. I've used it twice, both times doing my whole house (1400sf) of ceramic tile.

It's easy to assemble, it's easy to push around, it's quiet (even when the sonic button is on), it's easy to store.

It's a hassle to fill, even with the pouring cup they give you. I always miss the hole and end up with a puddle on the floor. You cannot remove the water container. You have to pour water into it to fill it and then hold the whole unit upside down and shake it to drain it.

The "pumping" for steam is absolutely ridiculous. In order to first get steam, you have to pump the handle down into the body 3-4 times. Supposedly, the mopping action will continue to deliver steam but I have not found that to work. I can mop 2-4 strokes, then realize there is no steam, the tiles aren't even damp, when I step on a tile that I have just "cleaned with steam" it is cold on the bottom of my feet. You have to stop mopping and pump the handle. Then...

Easy to use.
I found the shark to be easy to use and love the fact that I don't have to use any cleaners. It didn't take off as much dirt as I thought it would but over all it's a good product.

Replacing an earlier model that gave out.
Jury still out for us as we are replacing an earlier model that quit pushing steam through the mop head.
Our hope is that we get a longer run on this model. So far we appreciate the upgrade to the sonic option.

SIlent but cool
This fan is exactly as advertised. It is one of the quietest fans I have ever owned. It is perfect for a small area like an office.
It is very effective in moving the air. It is also very reasonably priced. The item was shipped very quickly.

Excellent small fan
This is a really nice and quiet fan, with 3 speeds, and an oscillation setting. It is great for sitting in a hot office, where you just want to cool yourself, without worrying about cooling the entire room. It works well where you already have air conditioning, but you want to save money on electricity by setting the thermostat a couple of degrees higher than normal.

Pretty good
We love the size of this fan and it's portability BUT when it rotates it makes a squeak! We're using it in the bedroom at night so it doesn't make for a good night's sleep. Good price and we like it otherwise.

Leaks and Poors too fast!
I read the reviews and was impressed. Decided I'd pony up the money for a more expensive soy sauce bottle since I will be using it a lot. When I originally got it, I liked how sturdy it seemed. Unfortunately, days after using it we started to get rings of soy sauce settling on counter and cabinets. Top was secure and tight! It still continues to leak. As far as pouring the soy sauce goes, the dispenser is probably better served for just cooking. It dispenses too quickly for a personal dish of rice and vegetables. Even if it didn't leak, I wouldn't buy it because it pours too quickly.

4/30/2013 I've had the bottle since Nov. of 2011. It no longer leaks. You need to make sure it is fitted just right to stop leaking. To be fair I moved it from 2 star to 3 star.

Works
This is a very good container for soy sauce. The soy sauce pours out easily with a smooth flow and doesn't spill or drip like other containers. I have had the ceramic ones that look like small tea pots and they drip a lot. This ones works well and feels very durable. The glass feels heavy enough and doesn't feel like it would break if you dropped it.

Love this!
It looks so sleek and finally, we have a container that will dispel soy sauce without it getting everywhere. Highly recommended.

This is a very simple replacement/repair for the Roomba vacuums. A small #2 and #1 phillips screwdriver is all that is required.

One wheel is still stiffer than the other.
My replacement wheels arrived and work better than the right original wheel that was not working well at all. Unfortunately, my unit is still giving the 11 beep error. Probably a sensor.

Loctite 1405603 0.85-Ounce Plastic Syringe Epoxy Extra Time Gel

Good stuff
It arrived two days earlier then expected. The epoxy flowed smothly though the tubes. This is not a 30 minute epoxy. It is a 60 minute epoxy. The slower epoxy cures the stronger the bond and this epoxy is strong believe me. I fixed a statue i have with the head being 12 inches in diameter. After 2 hours you would break the statue before i think the head would come off again. I did exactly what the instructions suggested. I think it is well worth the money and shipping was fast

Loctite 60 Minute Extra Time
I did not purchase this epoxy at Amazon but I used this stuff 4 or 5 times for filling cracks in wood after mixing it with a generous amount of sawdust. It takes a good 3 days to completely dry in a my 60F ambient. I have no knowledge of what tensil strength it's supposed to have but it was as hard as a rock. So I am happy with the extra time it allows me to have mixing/jamming it into the wood cracks. The mixture dries to a tobacco color with the light colored wood I was using. It sticks a lot better than Super Glue Gel.

This is too long of drying time, cures up ok but its tensile strength i found lacking after it fully cured. I used it for crafts but found it still tacky, even measured out evenly it is a gamble. Loctite makes good glue but this one needs some more R&D

On my Hoover WindTunnel Supreme, the two rear pegs on this front wheel assembly broke off. Last year, one peg snapped off. And then, last month, the other peg snapped off. I do not think that I move the vacuum too forcefully, but it does frequently get pushed up onto rugs and off of rugs again, so perhaps that created too much accumulated strain over the years as the two wheels have to roll up onto the rugs. Personally, I think the two plastic pegs at the rear of the front wheel assembly are a weak link in this design; those two pegs should be molded with thicker or stiffer plastic.

This is a genuine Hoover part that matches the original front wheel assembly. The original part number differs from this part number. For example, on my model U5450-900, the original front wheel assembly is "43248057". But this part number "43248064" is an equivalent...

Sharp R-520LKT Full Size Countertop Micro

Excellent performance and value in a midsize microwave
We bought this a couple of years ago and it has stood up well to frequent everyday use. We had an old GE that died, so I learned how to replace the power supply, but that again only lasted another year. After a lot of research we bought this Sharp microwave and have been pleased with it. The controls are easy to use, the popcorn setting makes perfect microwave popcorn. It seems to cook fairly evenly. This has been an excellent value for this size microwave. It fits everything we need, cooks quickly, easy to use, and not one problem in two years.

Good overall product
Keypad configuration can be a bit confusing, but overall a very good product. Cooks well, and looks clean in the kitchen. The sensor cooking feature works, surprisingly, very well. Definitely recommend this product.

Would Recommend to Anyone
This replaced a similar Sharp full size microwave - and we love it - so easy to use, we did not have to use the manual to do the basic things we want to do. And - Amazon's delivery was fantastic!

Easy to handle and well made
If you are considering this model vs. the ultra orbiter, keep in mind that the commercial 550MC unit also has a 1/2 horsepower motor despite the Amazon description which indicates that it has a 3/4 hp motor. This can be confirmed by contacting Oreck. It appears that the cord on the commercial model is longer but that the orbiter ultra has a longer warranty. The 550MC commercial model comes with a black mounting pad which is essential for use of accessories. Accessories are available at additional cost.
The machine is a pleasure to use. It is easy to control and has plenty of power. I cleaned my vinyl floor and also a good portion of my wood dining room floor. I was satisfied with the results.
The ultra model appears to be so similar to the commercial model that I think either would be fine. I did think I was getting a more powerful motor when I placed my order but there is little to go wrong with this device necessitating a 10 year warranty (applicable to the ultra unit) so...

Made our floors look like new.
Our entire home is done with marble floors put in seven years ago. Lots of dog traffic. This easy to use product made them look new . Go for it.

It's quiet, it operates with a smooth effortless touch. It seems to have perfect balance. I have found that it cleans many more surfaces ( both inside and out,) than I ever thought when I ordered it. Just make sure that you order all the pads and brushes when you order the buffer. I didn't and had to wait another week before I could use it. There are several ditterent kits for different surfaces I think I ordered 2 of everything so I would have it on hand if I needed it! I'm glad I did

Honeywell 170334 Central Vacuum 35-Foot Quilted Zipper Hose Sock, Blue

Effective protecting furniture
Compared to many options on the market, for the length of this hose sock the price is very attractive. Also the full-length zipper makes installation *very* convenient compared to the true "sock" type covers that require threading the full length onto the hose. The zipper is well covered by a fabric flap. The main worry I had when ordering is whether the zipper would be a risk to scrape or scatch furniture compared to the sock style with no zipper. So far I have had no problems at all with the zipper being exposed, or damaging furniture legs or molding. The only down-side is that there's not a very easy way to adjust the length. There tends to be enough play however for my NuTone hose that it can scrunch up a bit on each end to accommodate a slightly shorter hose.

The first impression out of the box was "wow I can't believe they shipped this thing without cleaning up the loose threads." Then on the first use the zipper failed in about 6 places. Now after about 5 uses the zipper is completely useless and I have to use zip ties to keep it shut.

zipper was installed incorrectly, it weaves slighty and the tolerance for variance is tiny since it is to wrap around a vac hose. Very disappointed as it got it about 1/2 way installed on my new vac hose befor I discovered the flaw. The zipper separated every time I tried to continue with installation at about the half way point. This is not the fault of the distributor but of the individual that sewed the zipper into the quilted fabric. Since I am not entirely happy with the feel of the fabric I am returning for a refund not an exchange.

6 Bottle Silent Wine Cooler Touchscreen

Good Value
I got this unit to replace the VinoTemp model that I purchased a year ago. The Vinotemp only lasted a year and then it quit cooling and I spent 2 months and more money than I should have to try and fix it. Vinotemp is not a customer service company so with that being said I am already really please with the Wine Enthusiast model. I think it is an excellent value for the price and if it quits in a year; I will more than have gotten my money out of it. It is quiet, looks great on the counter and is actually smaller than the Amazon measurements online which I like. It cooled really fast - had to wait almost 2 days on the other brand. The only disapointment so far is that I like to use the vacumn tops on opened bottles and the door will not shut completely. I have to put a single bottle on a shelf by itself if it has a vacumn top and turn it diagonal to shut the door.

Dirt Devil Extreme Power Wet/Dry Cordless Hand Cleaner - M0944

Great little vac
This is a great little hand vac.I'm a stay at home dad with a toddler running around ask day with goldfish and cheerios in the living room.this vac not only picks up the large pieces off the foor, but the crushed up grinded in slobbered on mess as well. The only thing holding me back from giving it a5 star review is the charging base, and the built in crevice tool. First off the base when attached to the wall seems up side down. You feel like its just barely hanging on waiting to slam on the floor at first little vibration, but mine is mounted right beside the dryer and hasn't budged yet. It feels like it should be the other way and it would sit better, but I really can't complain, it haven't fallen yet. The built in crevice tool works great, its just a little awkward to get in place. It needs to be sporting loaded so that when you press the button it pops up. As is when you slide the...switch I guess, it didn't seem to move.you have to stock your finger in the hole and pull it up and...

Disappointing
After being very pleased with an earlier model of this vacuum (I used it so much that it eventually wore out), I thought the more powerful 15.6 V model would be even better. What a disappointment. They have change the air flow, filter, collection arrangement in such a way that this unit has very poor suction. It drives me nuts. About the only thing it is good for is dust on a smooth surface (i.e. it will not drag fluff off carpet). I wouldn't waste my money on this one. What a pity. I have had several of these hand held vacuums that were really useful - this is NOT one of them.

great piece of equipment
This hand vac easily beats out an old 4.8V dustbuster hand vac. The battery life and suction power is more than ample to clean up everyday spills and messes. With 2 little kids, it makes clean up after meal time a breeze. I'm very happy with the product.
UPDATE:
My wife and I have been using this same hand vac for 2-2.5 years now on a daily basis. It now has 3 kids and a dog to clean up after, and it is still performing as it did on day one. Highly recommended.

HoMedics UHE-OW14 Ultrasonic Cool and Warm Mist Humidifier

Great but broke in a few months
The product worked great for a few months and then stopped working randomly. I looked at the bottom of the machine and it seems a fuse burnt out (the misting function). There was a burn mark on the plastic base and mist was no longer coming out of the humidifier.

I wish it had an timer rather than continuously running. I found that when I used it in a smaller room it would get too steamy and would not shut off unless it ran out of water.
It is quiet and provides a good about of mist in the air. However, the rotating function makes more noise than the actual humidifier - lucky you can turn it off.

Bought this despite reviews. What a mistake! Worked all of one night and then died! Had to ship it back and still waiting for another one. This is the time of year when I need it,and I'm playing shipping games with the company! I would never ever ever buy from them again! I am just hoping this new one works. And if it does, I will constantly be worried that it will stop at any time!

Lovely design, awful product!
I did not want to believe the reviews and purchased the unit, I love the design and the fact that it is tall and distributes the mist high and far. It worked for couple days then it started to make a noise and then it stopped by itself after a few minutes of use, I could not get it back to work more than a minute. This is my third unit and all have had the same problem, now I'm done with this model and I purcahsed a smaller unit that stays on all night. Do NOT buy!

Danby DDW611WLED Countertop Dishwasher - White

Danby 6 place setting countertop machine
Great counter top machine, will not accept large plates without leaning them over and bowls are hard to place in the rack. Otherwise works great and is quiet. I have had three previous counter-top machines and this one is the best of them all.

Item was defective
Upon first use, I got error code E4 and the unit started leaking water out the bottom. I see this problem was mentioned in another review as well and I now see references to this problem on other websites.

I thought I'd give this a shot, despite some negative reviews, because it was the right size and right price. Well, lesson learned. I gave this 1 star because apparently this must be a "known" issue as a quick google search for "danby countertop dishwasher e4 error" turns up a few results which is saying quite a lot for a bargain-priced kitchen appliance; yet, Danby still sells this appliance.

I just returned this to Amazon. My recommendation: Do not buy this.

I LOVE THIS DISHWASHER
It's the perfect size for me, there's only two of us. It' small but holds four 4 piece place settings. It came with a dent in the side, but still works great. No leaks, clean dishes! My son hooked it up and had no trouble. Have it a month and run it at least every other day. Haven't tried to put any pots in it but have put lids and an 8" frying pan in. Everything comes out clean. It's run cycle is a little long but it's quiet. I love it!

7 Speeds and Pull-Chain Less!
While replacing the old fan due to a broken pull chain, I decided to get a fan speed control switch. This is exactly what I was looking for, as I have a switch for the light and fan, and most switches these days have both combined into one switch.

This switch is great as it gives you 7 fan speeds, which allows you to a more perfect fan speed than just the regular 3 speed fan switches.

The switch allows you to adjust the fan speed manually but pressing up or down on the side button. The switch is also a push button, which turns the fan off and back on to the last-used setting. You can also push and hold the switch to automatically bring the fan to full speed instead of manually clicking through the 7 speeds. When off the switch also has a dim led that lights up the last used speed so you won't be wondering what speed it will go to when turning on.

The switch was easy to install, and adding the canopy module was no extra work since I was replacing...

Nice....Near Perfect!
The more I use this control, the better I like it! The high speed on my fan moves so much air that the noise bothers me. I wanted more than three speeds, especially a medium-high speed. With this control, I still find myself wanting a speed between the highest and second highest. The lowest and second lowest speeds are almost identical, and very slow. I would gladly sacrifice one or both of those super slow speeds for more flexibility at the other end. I just may be Knit Picking. On the Plus side: There is a speed or two here between the typical "medium" and "high" on most three speed controls. The Seven speeds here are a lot nicer than just three.

The wall control is very elegant, and user friendly. It is the same design as my light dimmers. Easy to install.

Like others have mentioned, getting the module to fit into the canopy can be a real bear! I had to stuff most of the wiring up into the electrical box above the fan to get the module to fit into...

Just what I needed!
Works just as described. I can now run both my ceiling fans in my shop from one switch and location without having to play around with 2 switches in seperate locations since the fans are on either sides of the shop.

Cuisinart DCC-2750 Extreme Brew 10-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker, Silver

One of the better coffee machines in the inexpensive range
Let me first say that I have been struggling to find a coffee maker which meets my needs. Everyone has particular "must haves" when they are looking to buy something and for me, I needed to find a coffee maker that: (1) met my budget (2) made a nice strong cup of coffee and (3) definitely did not have a glass carafe since I'm a total klutz and keep breaking them. Everything else for me was less than important so I put those aside as little annoyances. This one finally met my needs. And if you want to see more of the details of any coffee maker, no matter where you end up buying it, I would recommend going on Zappos to look at the model, they have a video of this one which goes through the various features of this appliance.

As far as addressing some of the negative comments I have seen on it, I think some of them are not necessarily "poor" design but "intentional" design. First, the lid is a bit difficult to turn, however, it is a very tight seal and that's necessary...

So-so coffeemaker
I just purchased this coffeemaker from another retailer. I had a similar Cuisinart for several years and was very satisfied with its looks and performance, but I wanted one with a thermal carafe because I don't like coffee that has sat on a hotplate and I got tired of pouring the coffee into a separate thermal carafe every morning. This model has so far been great except for a couple of minor things. I don't share any of the previous reviewers complaints except for one: it is difficult to pour out the last 1/4 cup of coffee from the pot.
The two other things I don't like about it are 1) the silver finish looks cheap to me; not like my other Cuisinart, which had the same finish as a nice stainless steel appliance, and 2) it doesn't keep the coffee hot for very long. Not much of a problem because we usually drink our pot of coffee within an hour or two.

Follow-up: I am downgrading my review from 4 stars to 3. After using this coffee maker for a few months, I have to say,...

Not Bad
The "extreme brew" functions work well: coffee tastes delicious. However, the reviews criticizing the carafe (difficulty pouring completely and keeping coffee warm) match my experience and have been frustrating. Also, the design of the top door require pulling the coffee maker out from under the cupboard every time we want to fill or empty grinds and water which is a daily irritation though a mild one. I am grateful that it uses a carafe since it eliminates the hot plate cooking the leftover coffee but wish it were more substantial and the bulky, square design has no justification given the flaws mentioned earlier. It is a disappointment but I did buy it from a different seller so I didn't have a chance to read these reviews or I would've been warned. (Update) Having lived with this appliance several months now, I would upgrade my rating from 3 to 4 stars, since, though my original criticisms are still valid, I have been very pleased with the taste of our coffee when brewed...

Looks great, heats well, easy to clean
I have been making waffles for about 15 years now. I wanted something every morning with my coffee so I make a batch every other Sunday and freeze them. Then just toss them in the toaster when I need one. I have only gone through six waffle makers of various types and expense. I prefer the Belgian size and pattern. The VillaWare waffle maker is my second favorite. My favorite does two at a time...

First, you'll want to do a batch to "clean" the nonstick plates. The instructions suggest this as well. I just made a batch of waffles from a package of ready mix and tossed them out.

It heats up and cooks fairly quickly. The temp is easy to adjust by turning the dial located right in front. On/off is in the middle of the dial. It beeps when ready and done. The biggest issue with waffle makers is how long they last. Over time the heating elements tend to wear down - we'll see.

It has a drip pan that makes it easier to clean up but my waffle mix is thick and...

I'm no stranger to waffle makers. I've owned 2 Presto 03510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker, which had rave reviews and worked great the first couple of times, then began heating unevenly. My waffles would be burned in places and raw in others. I suppose both units were defective, but I wasn't going to deal with a third one. So, I moved on to the very basic, but very well made Black & Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Maker, which is still working perfectly over a year later, but it doesn't make the thick Belgian waffles like this one. So, I was excited to give this one a try. It didn't disappoint. There were some trial and error issues, but after a few waffles, I have it figured out. I cleaned and oiled the iron as suggested in the instructions. It didn't take long at all to preheat. It was finished preheating by the time I got my batter mixed up...

Perfect waffles....that is all I wanted!
I made perfect waffles, the first time, with no sticking or burning! Yep, this is a great waffle maker! It is easy to use, heats up quickly, and looks sharp.

I bought Presto 03510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker this last year, and was disappointed. The first batch of waffles I made stuck so terribly to the maker I had to turn it off and pry the small pieces out into a crumbled, horrible mess. I thought I had done something wrong, but I hadn't. I oiled the griddles, and followed the instructions. I was finally able to get the maker to work but I had to do some special things.

This VillaWare maker, however, was perfect! I oiled the griddle like it stated you should do before the first use. Air King 9212 Industrial Grade High Velocity Pivoting Floor Fan, 12-Inch

American made quality, this overbuilt fan delivers the goods


Power and Craftmanship-excellent product
I bought this fan to replace a ca. 1989 14" Patton (which incidentally was still working fine, but got lost in a move). The Air King 12" actually moves at least as much air if not more than the larger Patton. It has steeply angled blades, almost like a ship's propeller, which seems to assist in scooping the large quantities of air. The frame is heavy and solid, and there is hardly any vibration even at high speed. The housing and the blades are coated in black paint, which makes the fan look smart and unobtrusive. It is therefore quite suitable for home use compared to the more functional shiny metal fans, and indeed I am using it in my bedroom where it occupies a spot on my desk. On high speed, it is fairly loud, mostly from the sound of air whooshing through the front grille. On low speed, it is dramatically quieter, actually quieter than a standard 9" table fan by Holmes that I had been using in the interim. The drone of the diminutive Holmes had resulted in frequent...

Don't underestimate this fan...
I own this. I also have the Air King 14" Industrial as well as a high-quality imported 20" commercial floor fan. The quality and construction of these and other industrial "air circulator" type fans are generally excellent. These are well made metal fans with metal blades and very nice sealed bearing motors. They're built to last.

This 12" is more suitable for small home/office/apartment use. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a constant-on fan nearby or directly blowing on you. It is considerably less noisier on the lowest setting than the 14" and is easily drown out by a TV on relatively low volume.

The 14" pushes more air but makes considerably more noise and I find that I don't use it as often because it's just a little too loud to have on and watch tv at night. It would be too loud and move too much air for a home office. During the day, if sound is not an issue, the 14" does noticeably overpower the 12" and is great for moving volumes of air...

This is a way simple device. Its a metal rod, comes with two plastic brackets, a removable electrical plug. The removable plug allowed me to run mine into a metal gun cabinet and then put the cord thru a much smaller whole and re-install the plug with a snap. Brackets are two plastic U shapes, for self tapping metal screws.

Audio Technica AT-LP1240-USB Direct Drive DJ Turntable

Excellent Turntable for your home not just for DJ's.
Like many of us I have been getting back into "vinyl". Nothing beats spinning the ole "black circle". I have a Technics SL QD 33 from way back in the day. It is a nice turntable but I wanted something more for the audiophile and really make my listening experience shine. I did a lot of online research and I actually ended up buying 3 turntables (I'll explain). First I purchased a used Technics 1200. That was a mistake, it had some issues and I was not able to return it which was bit of a learning experience. I then decided to buy a "cheap clone" of the Technics 1200 and purchased the AT - LP 120 which is a pretty awesome turntable for only $217 dollars on Amazon. Honestly that turntable rocks! So good in fact I decided to dedicate the SL 120 turntable to my bands rehearsal space and hooked it up to the bands PA wow! Post practice vinyl sessions are off the hook fun. Now I still needed a turntable for my home and based on my positive experience with the AT LP 120 I decided...

Two shortcomings
The AT LP1240 is a good solid piece of equipment, and I have only two criticisms:
1. A minor point, but no cartridge mounting screws are included. The screws that come with some carts, (example the suggested Shure M97xE)have heads a bit too large to fit into the adjusting slots of the headshell.
2. More serious, the set-up instructions make no mention of setting up for cartridge alignment (overhang). This should be done before setting tracking force, since the position of the cartridge in the shell will affect tracking force. Only by looking in the specifications do we see that overhang should be 15mm, but someone unfamiliar with setting up turntables might not think to look there.

ATLP1240, Awesome!!!!!
Last year I was impressed by the LP120 quality and performance at it's $200 price point, but the LP1240 exceeded my expectations. The tone arm is all metal and height adjustable, the aluminum platter have a large ferrite ring attached to the platter directly unlike the LP120 where the platter is placed directly on a spindle and you are relying on the grip between the platter and spindle. You get a AT head-shell only, the track light is removable which I had to come to grips with and just accept it. Start and and stop times are adjustable, you have of course a reverse feature, you also have 10% 20% pitch, and if you combine the two you get 50% pitch range. The dust cover is tinted and hinged-less but fits securely around the top on the turntable. RCA cables are of a larger gauge and gold plated and removable, you also have a grounding post and wire with a selectable phone and line switch. The LP1240 is not dual voltage, the power cord is a IEC ground post terminal. course the USB...

My first juicer and it is a peach! Works great! I stick to the guidelines mentioned in the instruction manual and so far so good. I juice vegetables and do so twice daily most of the time. AquaFresh Replacement for LG Filter (LT500P, 5231JA2002A), 3-Pack

Pretty good
Only used one so far working great. Seemed like slightly dirty when I opened, but I examined and think it was fine.

Waste of money
I purchased these filters to replace one that had become clogged and only allowed a weak flow of water making filling a glass with water tedious. The filter had lasted me 9 months. When I first installed the new filter I was a happy camper as the water flow was once again up to par. But, within one month, that's correct, ONE moth, the flow rate had dropped down to where it was before. I am single, drink about 5 10 ounce glasses of water per day and have a whole house water filtration system. There is no reason on earth for this filter to clog in just one month. I will not purchase this item again.

Perfect for Esselstyn/McDougall Low-Fat Plant-Based Diets
My parents have been following Dr. Esselstyn's "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" plan for over a year (very successfully, I might add) and were consuming canned beans like crazy. Unfortunately, canned beans often contain added sodium, and organic beans can be quite expensive. After reading the other good reviews here at Amazon, I decided that this bean cooker would be the perfect Christmas present: My parents could buy dried organic beans in bulk for a fraction of the cost of canned.

We were all dismayed, therefore, to discover that the cooker's instructions required you to add oil to the beans to prevent them from foaming and possibly clogging the outlet vent. (Oil is a big no-no on the Esselstyn plan.) My father contacted the manufacturer, who said that it should be fine to omit the oil as long as you didn't overfill the cooker. (My own research on the Internet confirms that the admonition to use oil is a holdover from the days of exploding jiggle-top pressure...

Great product to create healthy meals!
I bought this product about 3 months ago and have made many of the recipes in the booklet and have adapted a few to my family's tastes. It is easy to use. This product is a boon to the working mom. I can create economical healthy meals for my family in less than an hour effortlessly. No fancy ingredients. No soaking of the beans overnight or a "quick" 1-hour soak before cooking for 2 more hours! Highly recommend.

WEB WECO Eco Filter Adjustable

Can fit 20 x12 with some cutting!
Well, this was exactly what it said it was, however, my home's filter size is 20 x 12. So, with a little cutting and drilling, it will fit, and I've got two mesh inserts, so I can just swap out instead of washing, drying, and then replacing. Great product!

What a difference!
Was using the cheap corrugated filters before and when the heater kicked in, it would run for 20 minutes or more on moderately cold days. With this filter, the heater runs for about three minutes even when it's freezing outside. Had a little trouble getting it together but that's on me.

Great green option
A little tricky to assemble the first, but such a great product when completed. Sturdy, reusable, huge money saver. Recommended!

We have been fortunate with our range-sorry to read the previous reviewer's experience. Haven't noticed problems with excessive fan noise and find this is a pleasure to cook on. Not only does it look great in our kitchen, but we love the true simmer, power boil options. Find that upper oven is useful for rewarming/casseroles/pizza, but prefer to do the real work in the lower oven. We've had this for 7 months now and find this is a great improvement from our standard gas range we had before. I had read before purchasing that the stovetop is easily scratched and difficult to clean. Care is needed when cleaning and when removing/replacing cast iron grates, but I've not found it difficult at all to keep it looking good as new. So far, we are happy with our purchase.

Our oven broke and was not repairable the week before Easter. So I searched the Internet for a replacement. I ordered it unseen based on reviews I saw online. I am not sorry! I like the previous reviewer I love the simmer and the power boil. I don't find it noisy at all. The griddle is awesome too. And it is so easy to clean. Just a really great stove!

exactly as desribed
Awesome gas range, quality construction, this gas range rocks. I'm still learning how to use the burners since they provide so much more heat then the gas range it replaces. Same for the ovens. I do most baking/broiling in the upper oven since it suits 90% of my needs and have only used the lower oven once in the convection mode. I thought all convection ovens were electric and that I would need 220V power installed. That wasn't clear in the description, but all I needed was the existing 110V and the gas line. This range is like a new car that I can't stop looking at every time I walk into the kitchen. I'm in the midst of a kitchen make-over with new cabinets, counters etc., and this range only adds to the clean, simple lines look that I want for the whole kitchen. But most important is the functionality and this range performs. Only had it for 6 weeks.

The delivery was on-time and I slid the old range out and the new one in. The hookup and levelling (if needed) was dirt...

XV-11 Filter Misfits
The locking tabs of these filters are dimensionally incorrect. The "lip" on the Locking Tab is shorter than on the O.E.M. filter, thus the filter does not properly lock in place in the Dirt Bin. When removing the bin for cleaning, the filter can dislodge and dump the bins contents on your Robot or floor.

Replacement filters were too small
The replacement filters were too small. I agree that they therefore dump the contents on the carpet. It was also difficult to put the bin back into the machine because they kept falling out. Beware..buy them elsewhere..

Fallout
I wish I had read the reviews for this item before I bought it. I've just experienced false economy. Thinking I would save a few dollars by buying filters other than from Neat-O (which, by the way, is a great company with excellent customer service --- I should have known better!), I had the same situation of these filters falling out of the dust bin, which, even though it is a most courteous machine, insisted on not running with a defective filter. Thank goodness. I would have hated to caused a problem with the mechanism because I was too cheap to buy the real thing. Amazon - dump this filter company! It's not up to your standards.

My wife and I are a long time user of Keurig K-cup brewer machine. We have been using B40 machine for a few years.
Recently, our B40 machine has shown a sign of getting toward end-of-life so, we start looking for the next Keurig machine.

We've been checking on a few models and eventually settled on B70 model. We thought there would be no pleasant surprise since we've been familiar with B40 but I still came across several new ones after a couple of weeks with it:

1. The most noticeable is the sound and vibration when it's pumping water.
B70 produces almost none of these stuff when comparing to B40

2. Ability to choose the cup size
There are 5 cup size to choose from. Smallest is like the Espresso cup, all the way to the largest mug.
This is quite nice, I can adjust the concentration and amount of coffee for each flavor.
It sure does make that same coffee cup much more satisfying.

We bought this same Model in the limited edition color "Cinnamon" which goes perfect with the colors in our old Airstream camper. They both work great, easy to use and the the screen is easy to read without my glasses, lol. Just make sure you run Vinegar through it to keep it cleaned out from mineral build-up when it starts to slow down on the brewing, it does the job!

A Great Replacement for my previous Keurig
I ordered this coffee maker after reading good reviews at various sites. It has performed wonderfully. I love the extra small setting for instant oatmeal in the morning. My previous Keurig only had 3 cup size settings, none of which were right for my oatmeal. Now I prepare my oatmeal, change the cup size and make my morning coffee. By the time my coffee is made, I can sit and enjoy my breakfast!

Mr. Heater MH35LP 35,000-BTU Propane Radiant Heater

works fine except for startup
After using one of the little Mr. Heater "Buddy" heaters, I expected this to be the same only larger. It's not.

Unlike the "Buddy", this does not have any way to regulate the heat except "on" or "off". Also, it doesn't have a pilot light. Instead, you just hold in a springloaded valve and let gas come out into the heater. There is a piezo sparker that is supposed to light it up, but I have not found it to work very well. However, using a match works OK, and a lighter-on-a-stick (for BBQs and fireplaces, etc.) would work even better.

But once it is lit, it really works quite well. Radiant heaters don't heat the air directly, so the heat tends to be fairly even by the time the surrounding objects start heating the air. This does take some time, though, depending on the size of the space you are heating.

Also, unlike the "Buddy", this requires ventilation, both at the ceiling and at the floor.

Shutoff is done just by shutting off the valve on...

This heater is just what I was looking for. Enough heat to keep work going out in the shop when the temperature drops below freezing without the kerosene smell of some other heaters. Easy starting.

Finally, a heater that puts out enough heat ! ! !
I bought 3 other type of heaters with-in three weeks before trying this one. It works great. We use it to keep warm as we enter and exit our Hot Tub on our patio. It is easy to use and puts out more than enough heat, even on days when it was below 30 degrees. It would be nice if there were a way to regulate the heat output. On warmer days we just move the heater farther away and on colder days we move it closer. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Beautiful fan
This fan is beautiful. I would say it is more decorative than anything, it doesn't seem extremely sturdy, but I bought it for decorative reasons. I will buy from this company again.

Beautiful and Useful- I take it everywhere I go.
This is a very beautiful fan. It works great, it's simple to use. It keeps you cool in the Summer, and is great to use in the over heated offices, homes, stores, etc. of Winter. It folds compactly, stays folded, and slips right into my purse. I have gotten a lot of compliments while using this; Some comment on how beautiful it is, and others say how smart it is to have a folding fan with me- (often from people trying to fan them selves with a piece of paper!) It is far sturdier that I would have thought, the silk is heavily starched, as long as you take a little care in folding it I think it would last a long time, much longer than the paper fans, I have had mine for 6 months at least, and it is still just like new. Definitely worth the cost, and I think it would make a fantastic small gift for any woman, or even as an addition to another gift, just put the little box it comes in on top of the larger gift! Whirlpool 8212526 Washer Tray, 29-by-31-Inch

Fits my Duet washer well
I bought this when moving my washer from the basement upstairs for peace of mind. The washer would occasionally leak a small amount of water at the door so it also useful to catch those drips. The pan is a couple of inches larger that the foot print of the washer which I hadn't initially thought was necessary but I had not accounted for the fact that I wanted a bottom drain hole (no hole was pre-drilled) to over hang the stand while keeping the washer feet fully on the stand... worked out to a perfect fit.

Durable, holds water and was true to the size description. Good product!
My LG front loading washer has an intermittent minor to moderate leak that turns out to be a known and common problem with my model and I'm not interested in shelling our hundreds of dollars to have someone come and fix it and don't have time to troubleshoot it myself right now so I selected this plastic pan. The space I have my washer is narrow and most pans will not fit but this one was true to the advertised dimensions and fit exactly and does the job. The only downsides are that it costs about ten dollars more than other available pans and the size of the pan may be so close to the size of the washer that if you needed to remove the water you are not left with much room to dip a cup or other container in to the sump. I had to resort to using a rag to remove water on two occasions, otherwise evaporation has been more than enough to get rid of the water that occasionally comes from my washer.

A Problem Solver
This pan was mainly designed to prevent water from leaking out of a washing machine. However, I found it was a 'life saver' for me when my portable air conditioning unit decided to leak from the bottom. I just placed the large washing machine pan underneath the A/C unit thus preventing water damage to my rugs and flooring. By using smaller pans inside the large one, I can easily empty out any water that drips out.

Lansky Fine Hone for Serrated Knives

An Excellent *Finishing* Hone
This is an excellent stone for putting the finishing touch on serrations; however, because it is a _fine_ stone, it'll take considerable time unless one already has a good edge established. I recommend using the Lansky Medium Hone for Serrated Knives to establish the initial edge and then use this fine stone to finish it.

After some use, my stone broke off of the carrier (bad glue set). I sent a picture to Lansky. Customer service was great and they sent another stone with no questions asked.

A must for getting the right shave-sharp serrated blade for those who dare?!
This allows you to get down and dirty into the cracks and crevices associated with serrated blades. Works like a charm....have the medium and fine of these. It makes sharpening your serrated edge knives a cinch. and this allows that extra fine sharpness to be achieved on any serrated blade! What more can I say?

Works very well for me
I use this stone, in conjunction with the medium hone for serrated knives. The results are great. I've put the Lansky hones for serrated knives to work on some very different knives of very different quality and I am always pleased with the results.

I've an emergency kit knife, (Cold Steel's "ER 1," which is no longer manufactured) with a stainless steel blade. This knife is an integral, important part of my car's first aid kit. I take care of that blade and I keep it very sharp using the Lansky medium and fine hones. If I need that knife; I'm really going to need it.

However, I also employ these hones with success on inexpensive serrated knives that I use for slicing stuff on my little home bar. The results, even with cheap knives, are great.
