Bosch Tassimo T55 Beverage System and Coffee Brewer with Pack of T Discs

1st Tassimo (Switching From Keurig)...
Why switch from Keurig to Tassimo? Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, and Cafe Ole. Tassimo does them, and for the most part Keurig does not. Keurig has in fact come out with a new machine called the Rivo but there were two things stopping me from purchasing that one: 1) Milk tank on the side of the Rivo instead of milk pods... I can't be bothered with keeping milk in the fridge and cleaning the tank, 2) Price... Rivo is a lot more expensive.

First, some thoughts on the Espresso and Cappuccino that comes out of the Tassimo after all, it's why I switched in the first place. I do like the Cappuccino and Espresso that this machine makes... it's good. Is it on par with what I've had at a really good coffee shop or at a cafe in Italy?... not really. Let's face it Espresso and Cappuccino coming out of a $5000 machine, made from freshly ground coffee, with fresh milk, lovingly crafted by a trained Barista is going to be WAY better than anything coming out of the Tassimo. Expectations...

Really like it!
I love the Tassimo T55 many reasons. First of all, it isn't too big so it doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter. It does have a smaller water tank because of this and you have to refill about every 3 or 4 cups of Latte or 5 or 6 of regular coffee. I wish there was a lid of some sort to pour water into at the top without having to always remove the tank or at least pull it out enough to fill. I love that they carry Tim Horton's and Gevalia coffee which are our favorites. It's quick and easy to clean as well. One thing I was very disappointed in that isn't listed anywhere is that you can't use chemically softened water so if you're on a well, you'll want to consider this. We were too excited when we got it to return it so we buy jugs of water every grocery trip and it's a bit of a pain and adds expense to each cup which is already pricey. BUT having said all of this, we've had ours a month now and I wouldn't trade it, I love it. I've also had great experience so far with...

Tassimo T55 is Primo
This machine is amazing. I have an older/smaller version in my office. It does not heat as well as this one. It is true that this model does not have a couple of the perks of the other models, but it took me all of 3 mins to adjust, and I can live with having to swivel my machine around to remove the water tank every 44oz. It is so much more stylish than previous models. That is a nice trade off for water tank removal, lack of extra blinking lights and different way that the stand is taken off (it is more stable now anyway).

Hints: If you put your thumb in the center of the stand and pull towards you at an ankle, it comes right off.
You have to insert the water tank at an angle.
Perk: The cleaning disk has a built in compartment on the machine. No more having to keep up with it.
