belts are too long
I bought the 4-pack because our loveable Golden likes to shred her toy and we usually find the bits with the vacuum - breaking the belts. Genuine Dyson belts get expensive when you go through 3 or 4 a year. This time when it happened I had several replacements....or so I thought. Having become an expert at putting on new belts in two minutes the belt was installed and upon turning on the vacuum and leaning the handle back - Voila'! A HORRIBLE noise was coming from the beater bar. THE COGGED BELT WAS SLIPPING!!! Onto belt #2 - SAME. Call Dyson and get new brush bar and belt - no noise. The Dyson belt breaks, I put on one of the remaining replacements and it's slipping. Horrendous sound again. Another new Genuine Dyson belt- purring like a kitten.
So far so good.
Item arrived promptly and fit my Dyson DC17 as described. So far the first belt I've used has lasted 5 months while vacuuming my store showroom 2-3 times per week. When I used up all 4 of these belts, I will definitely buy more.
Worked like a charm!
The product was easy to install and dramtically improved the performance of the vacuum with a worn belt. I won't know about the durability for a while, but now I have three backups and the 4-pack was very reasonably priced.
