Eureka Quick Up® Cordless 2-in-1 Stick and Handheld Vacuum, 96F

Fantastic, battery lasted 5 years....Filter cleaning tip...
We bought this when our first child learned to crawl and we had to clean crumbs, etc off the floor before she ate them. Now we're again finding it indispensable for number two and three (now ages 1, 3, and 5)

I like it for:

1) Handle installs and removes quickly and easily.
2) vacuum hangs easy on the charger - some other ones we've had are tricky to pop into the charger correctly if you want it to be installed vertically.
3) Power roller bar - really sucks up those cheerios quickly, even on hard floors.
4) Easily removable battery - charger has a second battery charging slot so you can swap out.

When I bought this the cashier at Target told me that this was what they used to clean up spills in the store. It's now almost 3 years old and the battery is starting to show it's age (It's easily removable so I'll be buying a spare soon)

UPDATE: The original battery is still going strong. To eliminate the "Memory" I just ran down the...

Great Cordless Vac for Light Cleaning
After reading the reviews on various stick vacs, I decided to go with this one as suggested by one reviewer. I am not disappointed. I bought it to pick up dog fur off my hardwood floors in between cleaning my house with the full size vac. It was worth every penny. Unlike some others, this vac has a roller brush that you can turn on/off so its great on both hardwood floors and carpet. And when I clean up the dog fur off my floors it doesn't blow it around like some other stick vacs I have tried, it actually picks it up! In addition, the quick up serves as a handvac, which is nice for cleaning up the furniture.

The only flaw I've found is that the dust cup is a little messy to empty. But to avoid this, after I vacuum I just empty it outside in my garbage can, and bang it against the side of the garbage can a few times to remove the remaining dust in the filter. This is the same for any bagless vac.

Let me note, this vac is for LIGHT CLEANING ONLY! Its not...

Word of caution
I've researched cordless stick vacs and finally decided on this one. I just bought it a Target for [...] bucks. If you've done your due diligence and have looked at reviews of the Eureka Quick Up vacuums, know that this particular model only has one battery. Replacement batteries will run you 20 dollars and up. Earlier Eureka Quick Up models, at roughly the same price, came with two batteries.
